Traffic you rent, while you build what you own
Med spa PPC is paid advertising, mostly Google Ads, that puts your clinic in front of people searching for treatments like “botox near me”. Google Ads can start bringing search traffic as soon as a campaign is eligible and serving, without waiting for organic rankings to grow, so it can start generating treatment-intent search traffic quickly.
Below is where PPC pays off, how it fits SEO and AI visibility, and a free way to see your own gaps.
The ad wins the click. The landing page has to do the rest.
What is med spa PPC, and when does it pay off?
PPC means you pay for clicks and can start generating search traffic quickly once the campaign is eligible and serving, which is what makes it useful in three situations: a new clinic with no organic footing yet, the launch of a new treatment, and a seasonal push.
It can become inefficient when the landing page is not ready, because weak targeting pointed at a weak page simply spends the budget faster.
Think of PPC as traffic you rent for today, while SEO builds an asset you own.
PPC or SEO: which should a med spa choose?
It is not either-or. PPC buys immediate search coverage.
Organic search can reduce your dependence on paid clicks for queries where your pages become strong enough to compete.
The mix depends on what already ranks, your market, your landing pages, and the economics of each treatment. For a new clinic or a new treatment, PPC can cover demand while organic visibility develops.
Can PPC work with my Google Business Profile and Maps?
Yes, and for a local clinic that pairing is often the point. Google Ads has a local, mobile-first campaign format that sends people to directions to your clinic or a call, tied to the Google Business Profile we already optimize in every retainer.
Someone searching for a treatment on their phone gets a route and a phone number, not only a website visit.
The value is coherence: your ads, your Maps listing, and your local search results point to the same clinic instead of working separately.
Why can Google reject a med spa ad even when the ad itself looks fine?
Google reviews the destination, not only the ad, and med spa treatments touch its restricted-drug and healthcare rules.
Botox and botulinum toxin, for example, are prescription-drug terms Google monitors.
Under Google's current U.S. policy those terms can appear in ad text and on landing pages in some cases, while directly targeting them as keywords can require certification, and the rules differ by treatment, business type, and market.
We ran into the destination side of this with a Scottsdale clinic: Google rejected its main website for the campaign after detecting injection-related content, so we built a separate, policy-compliant destination for the specific permitted offer, showing Google and the patient the same page.
We do not hide content from review; we make the ad destination match what the policy allows.
That is why med spa PPC needs destination-policy review as well as campaign setup.
Why does PPC without a real landing page burn budget?
The click is the cost; the page is where the money is made or lost. A treatment-specific landing page, a visible booking path, clear pricing information, and good mobile performance reduce friction after the click.
If the ad sends someone to a slow homepage where they have to hunt for a way to book, you are making a paid visitor do extra work before they can book.
We build the dedicated landing page as a one-time add-on (from $1,500, exact size scoped in your Snapshot, or folded into the on-page package if you take one, with no double-billing).
Then, under an active retainer, we A/B test and optimize it toward better conversion; that ongoing testing is part of the management fee. We optimize toward better conversion, we do not promise a specific lift.
How much does med spa PPC cost, and where does the budget go?
Two recurring costs, kept separate. Your ad budget, which you pay Google directly from your own account, and our management fee. Our fee is a flat, published monthly price, not a percentage of your spend: a percentage would mean we earn more the more you spend, and we would rather be on your side of that. Setup is $0.
The tier is based mainly on campaign complexity, locations, and channels. The spend ranges above are guidelines, not automatic upgrade triggers, and your fee does not rise just because you increase media spend. The Snapshot tells you which tier actually fits. PPC is a separate line: take it on its own or alongside SEO, never buried inside a retainer.
We generally recommend at least $2,000/mo in media spend, because below that optimization tends to be constrained by limited data, and we would rather tell you than take your money. Budget also leaks in predictable places: targeting that is too broad, no negative keywords, and clicks pointed at a homepage instead of the treatment page.
For a sense of scale from a real clinic, one month of Desert Bloom's paid search looked like this: one clinic's past numbers, shared to show the math, not a promise about yours.
Does PPC help me show up in ChatGPT or AI results?
Not directly. A paid click is not something an AI assistant cites. PPC does not buy AI placement. We measure AI visibility separately from paid traffic, using fresh recommendation tests reported as named in X of N.
How it works
Free visibility check
A quick read on whether the paid funnel looks ready: where the ad lands, whether the treatment and booking path are clear, and how the page performs on mobile.
$290 Snapshot
A written diagnostic you keep: where paid search fits, what to fix on the landing pages first, whether restricted treatment terms or site content could block the ad destination before you spend, how PPC and SEO should split the work, and a competitor baseline. Credited toward your first retainer month if you start within 60 days.
We build and run
Landing pages built for both conversion and ad-policy eligibility, tight targeting and negative keywords, and campaigns pointed at the right treatment pages. Where a treatment triggers Google's restricted-drug or healthcare rules, we identify the exact policy issue and handle the application or appeal where the advertiser is eligible.
We measure and report plainly
We report the closest verified business conversion we can track, ideally a booked consultation, rather than stopping at clicks. No invented ROAS, no inflated dashboards.

Tatiana PechenikinaWho is behind this
By Tatiana PechenikinaI have spent about ten years in SEO, four of them working only with med spas, running search and promotion for aesthetic clinics from the inside. I started out as a designer, so I care whether a paid visitor can actually book, not only whether the click was cheap. I would rather show you a screenshot and a plain report than a dashboard built to impress. The technical build, the structured data and site engineering behind the landing pages, is handled by Anton Byvsev, an engineer with 20+ years of experience and open-source work you can check on GitHub and npm. When something is not working, I tell you.
Every page I publish carries my name, and my profile links to where you can check my background and past work.
Test your own paid funnel in 30 seconds
If you already run ads, do not search for and click your own ad (that adds impressions and skews your data). Instead, open your Google Ads account and check the final URL for one of your treatment ads, or use Google's Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool to preview the ad without affecting your campaign. Then open that landing page on your phone:
Does the ad's final URL point to the exact treatment page, or the homepage? If it is the homepage, check whether the visitor has to navigate again to find the treatment they searched for.
On that page, can you see a price or “what's included” and a booking form without scrolling? If not, you have an obvious friction point to test.
